Who Is Sogang Namu?

Sogang Namu is a small church, started in March 2023, that aims to serve young adults in Seoul. Sogang Namu is a member of the Korean Baptist Convention and is an associate of the US Southern Baptist Convention. Therefore, we are part of a larger network of churches found in both Korea and around the world. Sogang Namu is open to Koreans and foreigners alike, offering an English worship service. Sogang Namu Church meets weekly and opens its doors to any who wish to attend.

서강나무교회는 2023년 3월에 시작된 작은 교회로, 서울에 있는 청년들을 섬기기 위해 세워졌습니다. 서강나무교회는 한국침례회에 소속되어 있으며, 미국 남침례회(Southern Baptist Convention)와도 협력 관계에 있습니다. 따라서 한국뿐 아니라 전 세계에 있는 더 큰 교회 네트워크의 일부입니다. 서강나무교회는 한국인과 외국인 모두에게 열려 있으며, 영어 예배도 제공합니다. 매주 예배가 진행되며, 누구든지 자유롭게 참석하실 수 있습니다.

What We Believe

We believe that Jesus is exactly who He said He was: the Son of God. We also believe that, apart from God, all of us are lost and broken people. But we also believe in the greatest hope: that if we trust Jesus for forgiveness and life, He will restore us. In Christ there is hope for the lost, the hurting, the joyless, and the ashamed. There is real life and hope to be found.

우리는 예수님이 스스로 말씀하신 대로, 하나님의 아들이심을 믿습니다. 또한 하나님 없이 우리는 모두 길을 잃고 깨어진 존재임을 믿습니다. 그러나 우리는 가장 큰 소망도 믿습니다. 바로 예수님을 믿고 용서와 생명을 의지할 때, 그분이 우리를 회복시켜 주신다는 것입니다. 그리스도 안에는 길 잃은 자, 상처 입은 자, 기쁨을 잃은 자, 부끄러움에 갇힌 자 모두를 위한 소망이 있습니다. 그 안에서 진정한 생명과 희망을 발견할 수 있습니다.
